THE CHART OF THE ROMAN NOBLE FAMILIES OF LATE REPUBLICAN PERIOD, VERSION 2

Finally! The big re-drawing task is finished! The chart is now close to the final visual form. Only thing missing, and indeed the next task, is update on the longer lines readability. I will add for each longer line additional text giving filiation information at the both ends to make it easier to read and quickly search information from the chart itself.

It has now been 5 years I have been updating this blog (actually two weeks short 5 years). The first versions of the chart saw their beginning still earlier. I think first versions emerged in 2764 AUC (2011) and centered around Porcii Catones relationships with other families.

Finishing the chart has been the main focus of my research work for about 5 years now. With the version 2 begins the next phase of my work that goes deeper into families and their survival strategies.

Family trees of late republican era Roman noble families

The main family chart version 1.2: Late republican era Roman noble families with filiation and inter-family relationships illustrated as well as information about individuals themselves.

  1. Hey, This map is astonishing! I would like to use it in a small presentation which I will do in the upcoming week. Would you mind maybe messaging your real name, so I could cite you correctly?
If I may present your findings at all.
    Many thanks in advance,
